Groups and communities with channels, roles and moderation
From a group chat with friends to a community with hundreds of members. TACENZA Chat gives groups the structure they need – channels, roles and moderation – while group names, channels and messages stay encrypted.
Channels, organised your way
A group can have a main channel plus channels sorted into categories that fold away. Private channels have their own keys, so only the members who can see them can read them.
Roles and permissions
Owners and admins manage the group; custom roles decide what each member may do, down to individual permissions. Members only see the settings they’re allowed to use.

Invites and joining
Invite links can expire or need approval before someone joins. Join requests wait for an admin, and the group decides whether it’s listed publicly in Discover.
Moderation
Slow mode, timeouts, removing and banning members, and deleting messages for everyone. Moderation is done by the group’s own admins – TACENZA can’t read the group, so it can’t moderate it for you.
Honest about what the server knows
To enforce roles and permissions, the server has to know who is in which group. It can’t read names, messages or profiles. Groups get a new key after 50 messages and on every membership change; forward secrecy with modern group protocols is planned after 1.0.

Messaging
Text, photos, files, voice, reactions, replies and disappearing messages – encrypted on your device before they leave it. Only you and the people you write to can read them.
Profiles
A TACENZA profile with a name, picture, banner and bio – encrypted, with per-field visibility, so you decide exactly who sees what. No phone number or email needed.
Bots
Create bots in Bot Studio and run them with the Bot API and the @tacenza/bot SDK for Node.js. Bots get their own keys, and the server stays as blind to them as to people.
