Cookie Policy
The websites set no cookies. Chat keeps a few things in your browser, Mail uses one sign-in cookie, and Stripe sets its own on its pages.

This page lists every cookie and every piece of browser storage that TACENZA uses, and why. There are no advertising or tracking cookies anywhere.

These websites
www.tacenza.app, docs.tacenza.app, support.tacenza.app, blog.tacenza.app and status.tacenza.app set no cookies.
They keep two things in your browser’s local storage, and only on your device:

TACENZA Chat
TACENZA Chat sets no cookies. By default it keeps nothing sensitive in your browser: no keys, messages or sign-in tokens. Reloading the page logs you out.
What it does keep, only on your device:

So the app asks for an invite code for further claims. Clearing your browser data resets it. |

Two settings under Settings › Security › On this device store more, in your browser’s IndexedDB. Both are off until you turn them on:
- Stay signed in on this device keeps your session token and your account key, as a key the browser can’t hand out, until the session ends (at most 12 hours) or you log out.
- Search index on this device keeps what this device has decrypted, encrypted, so you can search it. Turning it off deletes it.
TACENZA Mail
TACENZA Mail is in development, and sign-up isn’t open yet.
TACENZA Mail uses one cookie, which is strictly necessary to keep you signed in:

The short-lived token Mail uses for everything else lives only in the page’s memory and is gone when you close the tab. Signing out clears the cookie.
Stripe
If you buy a paid plan, you pay on Stripe’s own checkout and billing pages. Stripe sets its own cookies there, for payments and fraud prevention. They are covered by Stripe’s own policies, not by this one. None of our pages load anything from Stripe.

Removing stored data
You can clear cookies and site data for any TACENZA site in your browser’s settings. For Chat, logging out deletes a remembered session. For Mail, signing out clears the cookie.
